To get there we see a big need of accelerating platform systems and technology transformation. **This is us, your new colleagues**: Purchasing in the Truck Technology & Industrial (TTI) Division is the global group function covering the purchase of automotive products and parts including aftermarket. We are looking for a Senior Project Builds that will lead purchasing activities related to North America region. You will be based in Curitiba and report to the Head of North America/South America Collaboration Purchasing, with a dotted line to the Head of Supplier Partner Development. **- Main responsibilities**: - Own end to end crisis coordination and follow-up of Purchasing activities tied to prototype and introblock builds, including order status, delivery securement - Establish and maintain a consolidated build readiness overview for proto builds and introblock -bound vehicles, covering status, critical paths, and decision needs - Monitor supplier crisis, drive root cause analysis, and ensure mitigation plans are defined, executed, and verified - Prioritize active supplier crisis cases and readiness gaps, ensuring focus on the highest risks to build securement - Provide structured execution support to case leaders and cross-functional owners, ensuring pace, direction, and closure of actions - Lead escalation and decision preparation, aligning project teams, Purchasing, and suppliers to enable timely interventions - Define and enforce taskforce ways of working, including reporting, escalation paths, follow-up routines, and interfaces across stakeholders - Coordinate and run crisis and risk governance forums (cadence, agenda, minutes, action tracking, and leadership reporting) - Drive stabilization of the operating model and prepare handover material for continued execution after ramp-down **- Key interfaces**: - Project and build teams (prototype builds, introblock readiness) - Purchasing Project Manager and commodity buyers - Supplier Quality Eng, Logistics, Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering - Suppliers and supplier management - Program and line management steering forums **- Required Competencies**: - Strong project execution and crisis management capability within a cross-functional environment - Solid experience in Purchasing and supplier management, including readiness, ordering, risk, cost, and dependency management - Structured problem-solving skills with the ability to lead root cause analysis, containment actions, and recovery plans - Ability to drive governance through clear prioritization, escalation management, and decision-making support - Strong stakeholder management skills across operational teams and senior leadership - High level of discipline in follow-up, action tracking, and communication - Ability to create alignment and drive accountability across multiple stakeholders - Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining focus and direction **- Required experience**: - **Fluent in English**, both written and spoken - Experience in Purchasing, Supplier Management, Project Management - Experience within the manufacturing industry - Proven experience escalation management, or crisis management - Strong understanding of project phases and product launch processes - Experience working in cross-functional organizations with global stakeholders - Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field **- What Volvo Group Offers**: - Health and Well-being for You and Your Family: - Medical and dental insurance plans; - On-site medical clinic; - Pharmacy assistance program; - Reimbursement for corrective lenses (ophthalmology); - Sick leave assistance; - Childcare allowance; - Special education allowance; - Extended maternity and paternity leave. **- Meals**: - Meal and food vouchers and on-site meals (depending on work location). **- Transportation**: - Company-provided shuttle transportation. **- Financial Security**: - Private pension plan - Vikingprev; - Life insurance. **- Convenience and Quality of Life**: - Volvo Association Club; - Access to a wellness app with partner gyms a
