Job Description

Key Responsibilities : - Manage and administer PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM DB2 databases across Windows and Linux environments. - Perform on-premises to AWS/Azure cloud migrations. - Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations using AWS DMS and AWS SCT. - Work with AWS RDS and Azure SQL environments. - Perform database performance tuning, optimization, monitoring, backup, and recovery. - Manage high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions including HADR, Always On, replication, and clustering. - Provide L2/L3 production support for mission-critical enterprise databases. - Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, availability, and infrastructure issues. - Implement database security, compliance, and access-control measures. - Participate in incident management and root-cause analysis. - Collaborate with global customers and cross-functional infrastructure teams. - Lead database migration and infrastructure projects from planning through execution. - Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, operational procedures, and support runbooks. Mandatory Skills : - 8+ years of Database Administration experience - PostgreSQL - Microsoft SQL Server - IBM DB2 - AWS / Azure - AWS DMS - AWS SCT - AWS RDS - Azure SQL - Database migration - homogeneous & heterogeneous - Performance tuning - Backup & Recovery - HADR / Always On - Replication & Clustering - Disaster Recovery - L2/L3 Production Support - Database monitoring and troubleshooting Preferred Candidate Profile : - IBM Certified Database Administrator preferred. - Strong experience handling enterprise production environments. - Experience supporting global/mission-critical customers. - Strong communication and customer-facing skills. - Excellent incident management and troubleshooting capabilities. - Ability to lead complex database migration and infrastructure projects. - Strong understanding of database security and compliance requirements. Panel Evaluation Criteria : - Communication: Good - Migration Experience: Strong experience in homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations. - Performance Tuning: Good knowledge of database optimization and tuning techniques. - Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AWS DMS, AWS SCT, PostgreSQL, DB2, and AWS.
