Senior Product Manager - FinTech

Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to own backend and platform products across market-data services, real-time pipelines, APIs, SDKs, and systems supporting charts, alerts, and trading. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in backend, platform, API, or data-heavy products, along with a solid understanding of trading, investing, fintech, or financial-data environments. Key Responsibilities: - Own the backend and platform roadmap for market-data services, real-time pipelines, APIs, SDKs, and systems supporting charts, alerts, and trading. - Write clear product specifications and acceptance criteria and partner closely with Engineering from design through product delivery. - Own third-party data integrations end-to-end, including exchange feeds, broker connections, and market-data vendors, from evaluation and onboarding through production. - Build scalable processes and playbooks to streamline future data integrations. - Manage provider relationships from the product side, including scope, data quality, licensing constraints, SLAs, and ongoing feed health. - Evaluate and make data-driven trade-offs across latency, reliability, cost, and coverage. - Manage dependencies across Product and Engineering to ensure backend initiatives are clearly scoped, prioritized, and scheduled. - Sequence initiatives based on US expansion priorities and ROI. - Define and maintain quality and reliability standards for products and platforms. - Work closely with Engineering to triage data and platform issues and close the loop with Support and power users. Required Skills & Experience: - 6-9 years of experience in Product Management, with strong experience owning backend, platform, API, or data-heavy products. - Hands-on experience building OMS (Order Management System) and RMS (Risk Management System). - Background in Trading, Investing, Fintech, or Financial Data. - Strong understanding of market data and its users. - Ability to participate effectively in technical discussions with Engineering teams. - Experience shipping third-party or data integrations end-to-end, including provider evaluation, feed onboarding, and production data quality. - Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear product specifications and decisions. - Strong prioritization and decision-making skills. - Hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with Engineering and drive execution. - Comfortable working in a lean, fast-scaling environment with high ownership and limited hand-holding. - Willingness to work in person from the Chennai office. Nice-to-Have: - Experience with exchange feeds, broker APIs, or market-data vendors, including order book, tick, or OHLC data. - Familiarity with real-time data infrastructure, streaming, WebSockets, and time-series storage. - SQL or light scripting experience. - Familiarity with payments, billing, or subscription products. - Exposure to FIX protocol. - Familiarity with Indian market structures such as NSE, MCX, and SEBI, and US market structure such as CME. - Experience using modern tools and AI-native workflows. - Background from a top-tier Indian institution such as IIT, NIT, or IIM is a nice-to-have, not a mandatory requirement
