Job Description

DevOps Engineer | London Our client is an exceptional global investment management firm searching for a talented DevOps Engineer to join its high-performing London-based technology team. Managing multi-billion-dollar strategies across global markets, this organisation has built a reputation for innovation, collaboration, and technological excellence. Working at the intersection of engineering and financial markets, you'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving the infrastructure that supports critical business and trading operations, while partnering closely with teams across Europe and the US. The ideal candidate is a hands-on DevOps professional with a passion for automation, reliability, and continuous improvement. You enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges, thrive in fast-paced environments, and take genuine ownership of the systems you support. Whether you're building CI/CD pipelines, automating cloud infrastructure, improving Linux environments, or collaborating with developers to streamline delivery processes, you're someone who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities • Manage and enhance the firm's DevOps ecosystem, including CI/CD, source control, and infrastructure automation tooling. • Oversee software deployment, release management, and lifecycle processes across critical platforms. • Administer and automate Linux infrastructure, ensuring security, resilience, and operational stability. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise production systems to improve reliability and performance. • Collaborate closely with engineering and business teams to deliver scalable, robust technology solutions. Key Skills • Strong Linux administration experience alongside scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell. • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Puppet, or other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies. • Proven CI/CD and source control expertise using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git. • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure. • Strong communication skills, ownership mentality, and a passion for continuous improvement.
