Shopify Frontend Developer - Theme Customization

Role : Shopify Frontend Developer Theme Customization Location : Bengaluru, India [On-site / Hybrid] Employment Type : Full-time Experience Level : 1+ years on Shopify About the Role : We're looking for a Shopify Frontend Developer who lives and breathes theme customization. You'll own the look, feel, and performance of our Shopify storefront building pixel-perfect pages and Storefront experience. This is a hands-on, high-velocity role for someone who can take a design or a rough idea and turn it into a live, conversion-friendly page the same week. What You'll Do : - Customize and maintain our Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript. - Build and launch landing pages, product pages, collection pages, and campaign pages often on tight timelines. - Translate designs (Figma) into responsive, pixel-perfect, cross-browser-compatible pages. - Rapidly iterate on the storefront to support marketing pushes, sales, product launches, and A/B tests. - Optimize page speed and Core Web Vitals to improve load times and conversion. - Configure and customize Shopify sections, blocks, and theme settings so non-technical teammates can update content easily. - Integrate and configure Shopify apps (reviews, upsells, subscriptions, page builders, analytics). - Ensure the storefront is accessible, mobile-first, and consistent with our brand. - Debug frontend and theme issues quickly and keep the store running smoothly. Required Qualifications: - 1+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify theme development and customization. - Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid. - Excellent command of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). - Solid understanding of responsive, mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility. - Experience building custom, reusable Shopify sections and blocks with theme settings. - Ability to translate Figma / design files into accurate, polished pages. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapid-turnaround environment with shifting priorities. - Familiarity with Git and version-controlled theme workflows. - Strong attention to detail and an eye for design and UX. Nice to Have : - Experience with Shopify Online Store 2.0, metafields, and metaobjects. - Basic JavaScript framework experience (React) or comfort with the Storefront/Ajax APIs. - Knowledge of SEO and conversion rate optimization (CRO) best practices. - Experience with D2C storefronts and high-traffic sale events.
