Projects Logistics Coordinator (m/f/d)

Summary You will be responsible for ensuring that the specified scope (package/material) is completely delivered at the required location, safely, at the right time, in good condition and within the allocated budget. In the frame of the 2GW program, 5 projects have been awarded by Tennet to GEV-GSI, 3 projects in the Netherlands and 2 in Germany. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities • Project Coordination: • Manage the delivery of equipment up to the place of destination within the timescale defined by the Project team and in coordination with all stakeholders • Ensure that all shipping documents are properly issued and released in due course to stakeholders so that the expected delivery date and payment date are met • Ensure that all the international trade regulations & GE rules are fully respected before shipping • Ensure that Service Providers are duly informed about EHS rules and implement them • Ensure that the method statement for sensitive operations is issued in due time by the Service Provider and that operations are carried out accordingly • Manage and approve invoices from local transportation companies • Follow all logistics procedures, processes & use logistics tools • Monitor logistics risks and opportunities within the project, report on delivery progress, cost tracking, and other relevant information to the Project Procurement and Logistics Manager Sourcing Logistics: • Collate all relevant data to issue Request for Quotations (RFQ) to Transport Service Providers • Issuing RFQ to Transport Service Providers using the GE templates and following the GE sourcing rules • Review offers, send clarification requests to the service providers & negotiate prices • Ensure all quotations are complete, compliant and received in due time • Present price comparison tables and technical analysis. Highlight the logistics contingencies, risk and opportunities with the associated mitigation plan Continuous improvement • Provides Service Provider performance feedback to Sourcing/Commodity Leader • Follow all logistics processes & use logistics tools • Follows quality control procedures, work procedures, and processes • Promptly report and handle non-compliant cargo or transport method • Active participation in the non-conformity reporting and lessons learned Required Qualifications and Desired Characteristics • Bachelor degree in Logistics or similar / Additionally at least 5 years of relevant experience is required • Good Knowledge of Turnkey Project Logistics • Good knowledge of special transports (out of gauge and/or heavy) • Proven knowledge of International Trade rules (Incoterms, Customs, Letter of Credit…) • Good knowledge of Grid Solutions Projects and equipment • Languages: fluent in written and spoken English • Decision making, problem solving, ability to independently resolve issues with difficult suppliers • Knowledge in scheduling/planning of large and complex projects • Road freight, sea freight, air freight and multimodal • Dangerous goods • Heavy lifts & oversized loads • Industrial packing • Import/export procedures Performance Management • On-time delivery of specified shipment as per project needs • On-time release of shipping documents • Savings and budget compliance • Adherence to the global processes and IT Tools for transport sourcing and execution • Works as per GE’s the spirit & the letter Integration EHS for her/his complete scope • Objectives, Targets and Performance Measurements are defined on a yearly basis What we offer: • Employment based on an employment contract • Attractive benefits package: group life insurance, private medical package, MultiSport card, annual bonus • Professional development and the opportunity to influence the business environment • Opportunity to build professional relationships and collaborate with GE Group leaders from around the world • Challenging work involving significant responsibility • Opportunity to participate in interesting projects across various areas Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No
