Job Description

The Opportunity: This Brisbane based role sits within the Finance team and offers the opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Payable function in a structured and well-supported environment. As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring invoices are processed accurately, suppliers are paid on time, and financial records are maintained to a high standard. Working closely with both corporate and site teams, you will build strong internal relationships while managing reconciliations, payment runs, reporting, and system updates. This is a position where your attention to detail, organisation, and proactive communication will be highly valued, and where you can contribute to the overall efficiency and integrity of the finance function. Key Duties • Process supplier invoices accurately and on time. • Manage weekly payment runs and supplier payments. • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. • Maintain accurate supplier and banking records. • Monitor invoice approvals and follow up outstanding items. • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries. • Assist with inbox queries and inquiries What We’re Looking For: You believe in fostering a positive work culture and ongoing growth, ensuring we always put our people first. • Demonstrated accounts payable experience with the ability to accurately process high volumes of data • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with experience using ERP systems and document management platforms • Strong understanding of GST requirements and accounting principles • Experience reconciling supplier statements and managing creditors sub-ledger reconciliations • Experience processing weekly supplier payments and managing bank transactions • Ability to prepare accruals, journals, and payment-related reporting • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively across site and head office teams • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload effectively to meet deadlines • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and resolve discrepancies promptly • Experience in a high volume and fast paced environment • Heavy Industry, Construction and Mining experience, highly regarded How to Apply Please submit your resume directly through SEEK or contact Ashleigh Ruddenklau at Ashleigh.r@stellarrecruitment.com.au for a confidential discussion.
