API Engineer

: • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure RESTful APIs using Java and industry-standard development practices. • Contribute to API ecosystem strategy, architecture, governance, standards, and best practices across the organization. • Design and implement APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, security, and reusability. • Develop and maintain Java-based backend services and microservices supporting enterprise API solutions. • Work with AWS and other cloud platforms for API development, deployment, configuration, and operational support. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate API build, testing, deployment, and release processes. • Contribute to platform engineering initiatives, enabling standardized, reusable, and self-service API development and deployment capabilities. • Implement API lifecycle practices covering design, development, versioning, security, deployment, monitoring, and retirement. • Configure and maintain logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability for APIs and backend services. • Troubleshoot API and production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions. • Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, developers, DevOps teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver robust API solutions. • Ensure adherence to API security, governance, coding, documentation, testing, and deployment standards throughout the SDLC. • Participate in production support and help ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of API platforms.
