Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Perform thorough manual and automated testing across various application layers to identify, document, and triage software defects.
- Meticulously document, track, and report bugs and issues using JIRA or similar bug tracking systems, providing clear and concise reproduction steps.
- Collaborate effectively with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of product requirements, design specifications, and user stories.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing valuable input to enhance team velocity and product quality.
- Develop and maintain robust regression test suites to ensure that bug fixes and new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools, advocating for best practices in quality assurance.
- Validate that all software releases meet defined business objectives, functional requirements, and non-functional quality standards before deployment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record in testing complex web applications and APIs.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases.
- Proficiency with industry-standard bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for database verification and ensuring data integrity.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia) is a significant advantage.
