Software QA Engineer - Power BI Testing

Were Hiring: Software QA Engineer Power BI & Microsoft Fabric We are looking for a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer / QA Specialist with strong expertise in Power BI testing, SQL validation, and Microsoft Fabric migrations. The role will focus on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, reliability, and performance across reporting and analytics platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute QA strategies for data workflows, pipelines, and semantic models - Perform Power BI Service testing, including navigation, permissions, and report validation - Validate report outputs against underlying data sources - Use SQL for backend data validation, transformation checks, and troubleshooting - Test and validate Microsoft Fabric data pipelines and migrations - Design and maintain automated testing processes - Create test plans, test cases, execution reports, and QA documentation - Track and report QA and data quality metrics - Perform root cause analysis for data and reporting issues - Collaborate with Business Analysts, Power BI Developers, Data Engineers, Data Modelers, and Governance teams - Recommend improvements to QA frameworks, methodologies, and processes Required Skills : - Power BI & Power BI Service Testing - Microsoft Fabric - Strong SQL - Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, Lookups & Data Comparison - QA Testing & Validation - Semantic Model Testing - Data Quality & Data Validation - Data Pipeline Testing - Test Automation - Reporting & Documentation - Azure Data Platforms - Data Migration Testing Good to Have : - Hands-on Microsoft Fabric migration testing experience - Playwright for front-end automation - AI-assisted testing frameworks - Azure security, governance & access management - CI/CT practices - Strong SDLC knowledge - Experience with complex data troubleshooting and root cause analysis
