As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to support product design, development, testing, and manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical design, CAD tools, GD&T, sheet metal design, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities • Perform engineering analysis and provide technical solutions under general supervision. • Design, modify, and maintain mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications. • Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects. • Identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues. • Conduct engineering testing and prepare detailed test reports. • Generate and maintain product release documentation, including alpha and gamma documentation. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform root cause analysis to support product improvements. • Design, develop, and implement custom tooling, fixtures, and associated manufacturing processes. • Enable efficient handling, assembly, and disassembly of components, sub-assemblies, and final products throughout the product lifecycle. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design quality, manufacturability, and timely project completion. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. • 3-7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, or AutoCAD. • Strong understanding of: • Mechanical Design • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) • Sheet Metal Design • Material Selection • Manufacturing Processes and Methods • Thermodynamics • Flow Analysis • Experience in custom tooling and fixture design. • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Excellence (DFX) principles. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Experience: 3-7 Years Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
