Systems Analyst - Senior

Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Work Model: Onsite Duration: 12 months Must Haves • 5 - 8 years of experience as a systems analyst, functional consultant, or a similar system-focused role within IT • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365FO/C365CM, including system configuration and support. • Experience working with Data Management Framework (DMF) and system integrations within D365 environments • Experience using Power Platform tools, including Power apps, Power Pages, and Dataverse • Experience delivering large-scale, business-critical enterprise applications Description / Responsibilities / Skills About the Role • lead solution analysis and design for enterprise technology initiatives • translate business requirements into scalable system solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, business objectives, and technology standards • provide deep platform expertise, influence solution decisions, and drive the successful delivery of complex, business-critical programs • champion the use of AI, automation, and intelligent workflows to enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and user experience About Your Day • Lead cross-functional workshops to define scope, clarify requirements, and resolve gaps. • Document and optimize current and future-state business processes, system flows, integrations, and data structures. • Conduct impact assessments, identifying risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies across systems and data flows. • Maintain traceability across requirements, design, build, testing, and deployment activities. • Evaluate, recommend, and incorporate AI/ML, automation, and intelligent workflow capabilities within supported systems. • Mentor and coach analysts and project team members on solution analysis, system design, and platform best practices. Experience & Skill Set Requirements Minimum Requirements • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related business processes, including Product Information Management, Master Planning, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash • Strong understanding of enterprise application environments and system integration concepts. • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed system-level designs and configurations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) • Demonstrated ability to lead solution workshops, facilitate technical discussions, and align business and technical stakeholders on solution approaches • Ability to work effectively in Agile or hybrid delivery environments • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Lucid chart (or similar) • Ability to support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents independently Preferred Requirements • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical teams • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for system optimization, automation, and continuous improvement • Experience supporting or participating in D365 F&O implementations • Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) operating models • Experience working with eCommerce or related integrated platforms General Skills • Provides specialized technical expertise in the overall analysis of the design and architecture of systems solutions. • Ability to evaluate recommendations and ensures all recommended solutions for improvement are congruent with the project goals and objectives • Identifies short and long-term project goals/objectives, and as a senior technical expert, defines and identifies program and service delivery requirements • Leads the analysis, development and documentation of design and architecture of systems solutions. • Leads the development of testing, integration and implementation of systems solutions into the clients' applications • Guides the feasibility studies and cost effective analyses of proposed client I&IT initiatives, ensures all studies and analyses are documented • Leads the technical aspects of projects related to the development and/or acquisition of a diverse range of client applications through all stages of the SDLC • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, translating business documents into technical specifications • Experience leading development/support teams supporting multi-dimensional and relational databases and their applications • Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex applications utilizing relational and multi-dimensional databases • Ability to provide implementation and post implementation support as required • Oversees the research and evaluation of the technical components in the acquisition of software, hardware, technology, systems and products • Recommends and directs the measurement and improvement of tools, techniques, standards and performance criteria • Provides coaching and direction to junior analysts throughout the project through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle. Desirable Skills • Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies • Knowledge and experience with middleware and gateways • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices • Experience with development/maintenance of documentation as per Methodology • Good working knowledge of Dimensions and Facts • Knowledge of multidimensional structures (cubes) • Ability to gather, review and provide feedback to business requirements Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is an asset. • Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 and Power Platform certifications. • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, system architecture, integration concepts, and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server). • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, including Product Information Management, Master Planning, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash. • Experience with testing, troubleshooting, implementation, and production support in complex technology environments. • Ability to translate business requirements into solution designs, system configurations, and functional specifications. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, facilitate technical discussions, and align business and technical stakeholders. • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments, with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart (or equivalent). • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Experience identifying opportunities for automation, system optimization, and AI-enabled enhancements. Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and eCommerce platforms. • Strong collaboration skills across business, technology, and vendor teams.
