Deputy Chief Executive Officer - Online/Consulting Firm

The Opportunity: This is a CEO-track leadership role. The Deputy CEO will work as the Founder & CEO's strategic partner, leading cross-functional business priorities, driving execution across multiple business verticals, and ensuring the organization scales efficiently while maintaining a strong customer and growth focus. This role demands exceptional strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and the ability to influence leaders across Product, Growth, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Customer Experience, Finance, and People. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: - Partner directly with the Founder & CEO in defining and executing the company's long-term growth strategy. - Translate strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes. - Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that accelerate business performance. Business Operations: - Drive operational excellence across all business functions. - Build scalable operating frameworks, governance mechanisms, and execution rhythms. - Improve organizational productivity, efficiency, and decision-making. Growth & Business Expansion: - Identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, and business models. - Lead strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and market expansion. - Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities and strategic investments. Cross-Functional Leadership: - Work closely with leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, HR, Customer Experience, and Operations. - Remove execution bottlenecks and ensure alignment across leadership teams. - Build accountability and execution discipline throughout the organization. Performance Management: - Establish company-wide KPIs, operating metrics, and business dashboards. - Drive business reviews and ensure consistent delivery against strategic objectives. - Foster a high-performance, data-driven culture. Organizational Development: - Build leadership capability across the organization. - Drive organizational design and operating model improvements aligned with business growth. - Coach and mentor senior leadership teams. Governance & Executive Communication: - Represent the organization in discussions with investors, partners, and key stakeholders as required. - Support Board meetings through strategic planning, business reviews, and performance reporting. - Ensure effective governance and decision-making frameworks. What We're Looking For: - 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience. - Proven track record in strategy, business transformation, and operational leadership within high-growth technology or digital-first organizations. - Early-career experience with a leading global strategy consulting firm is highly preferred. - Significant experience in large-scale startups or consumer technology companies with demonstrated success in scaling businesses. - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth, profitability, and customer experience. - Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving enterprise-wide initiatives. - Deep expertise in business strategy, operations, organizational transformation, and execution excellence. - Exceptional analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to influence founders, boards, and executive leadership teams.
