Business Requirements Analysis

As a Business Analyst, a typical day involves examining the structure and operations of an organization to understand how its processes and systems function together. This role requires evaluating the existing business model and how it aligns with technological components. The day includes identifying the needs of customers and stakeholders, envisioning improved future states or solutions, and conducting thorough research to collect and integrate relevant information. The role demands a thoughtful approach to synthesizing data and insights to support informed decision-making and strategic planning within the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: • Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. • Responsible for team decisions. • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. • Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment of objectives. • Support the development and implementation of business strategies by providing detailed analysis and recommendations. • Mentor junior team members to enhance their understanding of business analysis practices and project requirements. Professional & Technical Skills: • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis. • Strong analytical skills to evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement. • Excellent communication skills to effectively gather and convey information across diverse teams. • Ability to document and model business processes clearly and accurately. • Experience in stakeholder management and requirement elicitation techniques. • Capability to synthesize complex information into actionable business insights. Experience & Delivery o 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in agile delivery environments o Proven track record in end-to-end delivery: requirements elicitation, analysis, and implementation support o Breakdown of epics into user stories, backlog refinement, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams Planning & Estimation o High-level effort estimation and capacity planning o Roadmap definition aligned with business and technical priorities Process & Design o Process modeling using BPMN (e.g., Flowable) o Creation of sequence diagrams and solution design artifacts o Contribution to API design and integration concepts Technical Understanding o Understanding of programming concepts (Java, SQL, XML) o Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud environments and architectures Stakeholder & Communication o Strong stakeholder management across business and IT (incl. senior stakeholders) o Facilitation of workshops, interviews, and requirement sessions Testing & Quality Assurance o Experience in manual and API testing o Defect lifecycle management: creation, analysis, tracking, and retesting Agile Delivery o End-to-end experience across the SDLC: inception, concept development, build, deployment, and production support o Active participation in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement practices Tools o Confluence & GitLab o Postman Swagger o Splunk Nice to Have o Basic knowledge of AI concepts and applications o Experience in the banking or financial services sector Additional Information: • The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Business Requirements Analysis. • This position is based at our Pune office.
