Job Description

Finance Business Partner Derby £55,000 - £65,000 SF Partners have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join an ambitious professional services business based in Derby. This is a commercial and analytical role combining business partnering, FP&A, financial analysis and modelling.

Working closely with Heads of Department and senior leadership, you will provide financial insight and constructive challenge to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

You will also support confidential, business-critical projects, including financial modelling and analysis relating to potential acquisitions. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Derby - Office based .

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Heads of Department to provide commercial financial insight and support. - Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards and KPIs to assess performance. - Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.

- Provide insight, challenge and recommendations to support commercial decision-making. - Prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts. - Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying key performance drivers. - Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance.

- Work with stakeholders across the business to gather and interpret financial and operational data. - Communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. - Produce ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis as required.

- Support the evaluation of new projects and potential acquisition opportunities. - Undertake financial analysis and contribute to due diligence exercises.

- Build financial models to assess potential acquisitions and investments - Identify key assumptions, risks and sensitivities and present findings to senior management. - Support post-acquisition financial and systems integration where required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience You will ideally: - Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) - Have strong FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis or business partnering experience. - Be commercially minded with strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

- Be confident supporting and constructively challenging senior stakeholders. - Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills. - Be able to interpret complex financial information and present clear recommendations.

- Have strong Excel skills and experience creating financial models and management information. - Be self-motivated, adaptable and comfortable working to tight deadlines. - Have strong IT skills, with SaaS knowledge or experience beneficial. cial.
