Lead UX Designer

We are looking for an experienced Lead UX Designer to join a cross-functional product team delivering user-centred digital solutions for citizens, businesses and government agencies .

This is an opportunity to take a leading role in shaping digital experiences that are intuitive, accessible and impactful — from product discovery and user research through to design, prototyping and delivery.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineers and government stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment , while helping establish scalable design standards and systems across digital products. 1 Year Project Renewable under Agency's payroll.

What You'll Do

Lead and mentor designers, providing design direction, feedback and quality assurance Establish and evolve design systems, component libraries and design standards Design intuitive and accessible digital experiences across the full product lifecycle Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes Conduct user research, usability testing and stakeholder interviews to validate design decisions Translate complex business and user requirements into simple, elegant experiences Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Developers during product delivery Ensure designs meet government accessibility requirements and design guidelines Participate in product reviews, sprint planning and retrospectives Use user feedback, product metrics and research findings to continuously improve experiences Support product discovery, design thinking and product roadmap discussions Contribute to scalable design systems and pattern libraries used across multiple products What We're Looking For Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience 7+ years of UI/UX or Product Design experience , preferably within product teams At least 2 years of experience in a Lead / Senior Design role Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end pr
