Job Description
About you
You are a Senior Product Manager who owns outcomes, works independently, and makes confident prioritization and trade-off decisions in high-expectation environments. You bring structure to ambiguity and communicate clearly with US-based stakeholders, including when challenging assumptions or pushing back.
You actively use AI tools to accelerate product delivery, validate scope, and move from requirements to execution. You effectively bridge Product, Engineering, Design, and stakeholders, aligning teams and driving progress through competing priorities.
Note: This role operates under a contractor model.
You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• Senior product ownership with a proven track record owning roadmap direction and prioritization calls.
• Strong Agile/Scrum fluency, including backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Proven experience owning product delivery end-to-end: ideation, design handoff, development, UAT, release planning, and post-deployment activities.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into multi-quarter roadmaps and defend prioritization decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted workflows such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Claude Code, with the ability to speak concretely to how these tools change your delivery process.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including presenting risk and trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to mediate between Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders when priorities conflict.
• Proficiency with Figma for mockup reviews and design handoff collaboration.
• Background in consulting environments or data-centric product organizations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, required to work effectively with our US-based team and stakeholders.
You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
• Own the multi-quarter roadmap and prioritization strategy.
• Make and defend prioritization calls when stakeholder priorities compete, with clear trade-off reasoning.
• Own a well-groomed backlog: detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization aligned to roadmap and business needs.
• Lead release planning, UAT, release notes, and usage reporting.
• Serve as the senior product voice to the development team and senior stakeholders, proactively surfacing risk and direction.
• Drive discovery, run and synthesize user interviews into roadmap and backlog decisions.
• Actively bridge Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders when priorities or interpretations diverge.
• Use AI tools as a working part of your delivery process, including documentation, prototyping, and workflow speed.
