Job Description :
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications on AWS ECS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Configure and optimize ECS autoscaling, service discovery, load balancing, and distributed tracing integrations.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize GitHub Actions workflows to automate CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform/OpenTofu for repeatable and secure cloud deployments.
- Manage and optimize AWS RDS PostgreSQL databases, with a strong focus on Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless v2 clusters.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions using Amazon CloudWatch, including dashboards, alarms, custom metrics, log aggregation, and analytics with CloudWatch Logs Insights and Amazon Athena.
- Configure cross-region log delivery and long-term log archival to Amazon S3.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python (boto3) to streamline infrastructure management, deployments, and operational tasks.
- Build and maintain AWS automation using AWS Lambda for event-driven workflows and operational processes.
- Create, maintain, and optimize Docker and Docker Compose configurations for application development and deployment.
Candidate Requirements :
- Candidate should have experience in AWS ECS.
Must have :
- Perfect and fluent English.
- Proven experience in GitHub Actions and GitHub Actions Workflows.
- Proven experience with AWS ECS, including autoscaling, observability and integration with distributed tracing solutions.
- Proven experience in managing PostgreSQL Databases in AWS RDS, with an emphasis on using AWS RDS Aurora Clusters, including Serverless V2.
- Proven experience with AWS CloudWatch, with emphasis on implementing observability dashboards, alarms, custom metrics, setting up cross-region logs delivery to S3 and using CloudWatch Insights and Athena and for querying.
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting (handling complex, multi-file Bash scripts is a must, as is solid boto3 experience).
- Basic experience in automation using AWS Lambda.
- Proven experience in managing Infrastructure-as-Code in AWS using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Proven experience in Docker and Docker Compose.
Nice to have :
- Previous exposure to SonarQube, Trivy, Hadolint, GitHub Advanced Security, Snyk and/or other quality/security scanners.
- Previous exposure to automating CICD Pipelines for software written for .NET and/or Node.js (TypeScript) platforms.
- Familiarity with database migration systems (specifically: AWS DMS).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
