Job Description

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements: • We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead with strong commercial Java development experience. • We need experience designing and building solutions in AWS. • We are looking for full-stack development experience using JavaScript, React and TypeScript. • We need previous experience leading engineers or providing technical direction. • We are looking for an understanding of software architecture and technical design. • We need experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle. • We are looking for strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills. • We need the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions. • Consultancy experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. • Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, the successful candidate must be able to obtain high-level UK security clearance. • To be eligible, we require British citizenship and permanent residence in the UK for the last five years. Responsibilities: • We will lead and support a team of software engineers. • We will design, develop and test bespoke software solutions. • We will provide technical direction and communicate clearly with clients. • We will produce solution architectures and technical designs. • We will build full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript. • We will design and deploy cloud-based solutions, primarily using AWS. • We will create continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab. • We will work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to delivery, support and maintenance. • We will deploy software into public and private cloud environments. • We will promote high standards of software quality, security and engineering practice.
