Technical Senior Systems Analyst

Job Title: Technical Senior Systems Analyst Location: Toronto, ON Work Mode: Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: Analyze, design, and test software solutions that support business objectives, operational requirements, analytics, and management reporting needs Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand objectives and design solutions aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, business process analysis, scenarios, and user stories Analyze and conceptualize solution designs in collaboration with Systems Architects, Software Developers, and delivery partners Translate business requirements into functional specifications, solution designs, process flows, and technical documentation Analyze source and target system data requirements and define data mappings in alignment with enterprise data platform standards Gather and document integration requirements, business process flows, database requirements, process mappings, and API endpoint mappings Write and maintain PL/SQL queries to support data validation, troubleshooting, analysis, and test data preparation Perform data analysis to identify outliers, data quality gaps, inconsistencies, and data cleansing requirements Provide production support for back-office systems, including issue analysis, root-cause investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution coordination Collaborate with technical teams to investigate production issues and ensure timely resolution of system and data-related problems Document high-level solution designs, system interactions, integration touchpoints, dependencies, and end-to-end data flows Develop test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and validation procedures to ensure solutions meet documented business requirements Validate test results, coordinate defect resolution, and support end-to-end system and integration testing Maintain requirements, analysis, design, testing, and project documentation using tools such as Jira and Confluence Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve business processes, data quality, system functionality, and technology solutions Qualifications: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Analysis, Computer Science, or a related discipline CMA or MBA would be an asset 8+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, requirements management, and technology delivery Strong experience with requirements elicitation, systems analysis, solution design support, data analysis, and end-to-end testing Strong understanding of information systems methodologies, delivery processes, best practices, and supporting tools Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, PL/SQL, and relational databases Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines Experience working within financial services, wealth management, or asset management environments is preferred
