Director - Application Development Global Experience | India Return Opportunity Location: Bengaluru / Mumbai / Delhi NCR Experience: 12-18 years Employment Type: Full-time The Opportunity: A leading and highly reputed technology organisation is looking to connect with experienced Application Development and Engineering professionals currently working outside India, who are looking to return to India and take up a senior technology leadership opportunity. The organisation is looking for high-calibre professionals with strong international experience, technology depth and proven leadership capability to drive application development, engineering and digital technology initiatives at scale. Key Responsibilities: - Lead large-scale application development and software engineering initiatives across multiple products / platforms. - Own the end-to-end application development lifecycle architecture, design, development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement. - Lead and mentor high-performing engineering and technology teams. - Drive technology strategy, engineering standards, architecture and best practices. - Partner closely with product, business, data, infrastructure and security teams. - Drive modernisation of legacy applications and adoption of contemporary technology platforms. - Lead digital transformation and technology initiatives aligned with business objectives. - Ensure scalability, reliability, security and performance of enterprise applications. - Manage complex technology programmes involving multiple stakeholders and geographies. - Build strong engineering practices around Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation and quality engineering. - Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve technology capability and business outcomes. - Work closely with senior business and technology leadership on strategic priorities. Technology Experience: Candidates should have strong experience in one or more of the following areas: - Application Development - Software Engineering - Enterprise Applications - Full Stack Development - Backend Engineering - Microservices & APIs - Cloud-native Applications - Enterprise Architecture - Digital Platforms - Application Modernisation - DevOps / CI-CD - Distributed Systems Experience with technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, APIs, Microservices, AWS, Azure or GCP would be relevant. What We Are Looking For: - 12-18 years of overall technology experience - Currently working outside India - Strong track record in application development / software engineering - Experience leading sizeable technology or engineering teams - Experience managing complex enterprise applications or technology platforms - Strong exposure to global technology environments - Ability to work with senior business and technology stakeholders - Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices - Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions - Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills - High academic and professional pedigree Preferred Background: Professionals currently working with the following would be particularly relevant: - Global Technology / Product Companies - Large IT Services Organisations - Global Consulting Firms - SaaS / Cloud Companies - Global Capability Centres - Large Multinational Corporations - Digital / Consumer Technology Companies India Return Opportunity: This opportunity is specifically aimed at professionals who are currently building their careers overseas and are considering returning to India.
