: Spare Parts Manager Position : Spare Parts Manager Reporting To : Head - After Sales / Regional Service Head Job Summary : The Spare Parts Manager is responsible for planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution of genuine spare parts across the service network. The role ensures high parts availability, inventory optimization, and efficient logistics to support customer service, vehicle uptime, and business profitability. Key Responsibilities : Inventory Management : i. Ensure optimum stock levels of fast-, medium-, and slow-moving spare parts. ii. Monitor inventory ageing and implement actions to reduce obsolete stock. iii. Conduct periodic stock audits and maintain inventory accuracy. iv. Forecast spare parts demand based on vehicle population, consumption trends, and service requirements. - Parts Planning & Procurement : i. Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and vendors for timely replenishment. ii. Monitor lead times and ensure uninterrupted availability of critical parts. iii. Optimize reorder levels and safety stock. - Warehouse Operations : i. Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. ii. Ensure proper storage practices to prevent damage and maintain quality. iii. Implement 5S and safety standards within the warehouse. - Dealer & Service Network Support : i. Ensure timely supply of spare parts to dealerships, service centers, and field technicians. ii. Resolve parts-related escalations from dealers and customers. iii. Improve service fill rate and reduce vehicle downtime. - MIS & Reporting : i. Track KPIs such as : a. Parts availability b. Fill rate c. Inventory turnover d. Stock ageing e. Order fulfilment time f. Backorder status ii. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports. - Process Improvement : i. Develop and implement SOPs for spare parts operations. ii. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce logistics costs and improve operational efficiency. iii. Support digital inventory management using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. - Team Management : i. Lead warehouse and spare parts teams. ii. Train team members on inventory processes, systems, and safety practices. iii. Set performance goals and monitor productivity. Required Qualifications : MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Operations is preferred. Experience : - 8-15 years of experience in spare parts management within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or EV industry. - Experience managing dealer networks and multi-location inventory is preferred. - Current hiring trends at Euler Motors indicate senior spare parts leadership roles with significant automotive experience.
