ABOUT THE ROLE The Technical Product Manager – Digital Forensics will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Innefu Labs' digital forensics product line, working at the intersection of law enforcement operations, forensic science, and technology — translating complex investigative needs into powerful, court-admissible forensic tools. This requires understanding the full forensic lifecycle, from evidence acquisition and preservation through analysis, correlation, and reporting, and ensuring the product supports each stage with precision, integrity, and legal defensibility. LOCATION & WORK MODEL Location New Delhi, India Work Model Strictly onsite — 5 days/week from the Delhi office Travel ~15–20%, to forensic labs, cyber cells, and agency HQs across India Note Given the classified, sensitive nature of the work, remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Product Strategy & Roadmap • Own the end-to-end product roadmap across Mobile Device, Computer/Disk, Network, Cloud, Memory/RAM, Social Media & OSINT, Dark Web, and IoT & Drone forensics. • Conduct market and competitive analysis against leading global platforms — Cellebrite UFED, Oxygen Forensics, Magnet AXIOM, EnCase, FTK, X-Ways Forensics, and MSAB XRY — to identify white space in Indian and emerging-market law enforcement forensics. • Develop a 3–5 year product vision aligned with company growth and evolving agency requirements; prioritize based on investigative impact, legal admissibility, technical feasibility, and client urgency. • Establish a structured build-vs-buy-vs-partner framework for evaluating new capabilities. Stakeholder Management • Serve as primary product liaison with forensic labs, cyber cells, and investigative agencies, translating casework workflows into product features. • Collaborate with Legal & Compliance to ensure outputs meet evidentiary standards; partner with Sales, Pre-Sales, and BD on RFP responses, demos, and POC deployments. • Present roadmap and release plans to CXO leadership and senior government client stakeholders. Technical Ownership • Write technically precise PRDs, functional specs, system design documents, and user stories that leave no room for ambiguity in engineering execution. • Maintain deep working knowledge across: – File system forensics — NTFS, FAT32, exFAT, ext4, APFS, HFS+, YAFFS2 – Mobile OS forensics — iOS (Secure Enclave, keychain) and Android (FBE/FDE, Keystore); extraction methods spanning logical, file system, physical, chip-off, EDL, and JTAG/ISP – Forensic image formats — E01, AFF4, DD/RAW, UFDR – Hash verification & chain of custody — MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256 – Encryption challenges — BitLocker, FileVault, LUKS, VeraCrypt, and E2E messaging (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram) – Artifact analysis — browser history, SQLite databases, chat logs, email archives, deleted files, metadata, registry hives, plist files, event logs – App-level forensics — UPI apps, banking apps, crypto wallets, social media apps • Define integration requirements for forensic hardware (write blockers, JTAG/ISP, EDL tools, Faraday bags), external databases (CCTNS, NAFIS, NCRB, Interpol), Argus correlation modules, and Court Management Systems. • Own API design, data schemas, and cross-module data exchange standards; maintain product architecture documentation for scale. Execution & Delivery • Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, retrospectives — with engineering, QA, and DevOps. • Maintain a well-prioritized backlog with detailed acceptance criteria for every story. • Track KPIs: extraction success rate by device/OS, processing speed for disk images and mobile dumps, artifact recovery accuracy, report generation time and format compliance, and system stability/uptime. • Manage UAT and field trials with examiners at agency locations; resolve critical issues before production deployment. • Coordinate releases, patch management, and version control aligned to agency deployment schedules; maintain a continuously updated device compatibility matrix. AI & Automation in Forensics • Partner with Data Science and AI/ML teams to build: – AI-powered artifact prioritization for case-relevant evidence – Automated timeline reconstruction across fragmented digital artifacts – NLP-based chat/document analysis across Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Urdu, Marathi, etc.) and social media vernacular – Image and video classification — CSAM, extremist content, narcotics imagery, counterfeit documents – Malware identification and behavioural analysis from memory dumps and disk images – Voice and audio forensics — speaker identification, transcription, language detection – Predictive linking to known criminal profiles and historical case data in Argus – Automated draft report generation with examiner review workflows • Define model accuracy benchmarks and human-verification thresholds before AI-generated insights are used in investigation or court; ensure all outputs remain explainable, auditable, and legally defensible. Compliance, Chain of Custody & Legal Integrity • Enforce unbreakable chain of custody: tamper-evident action logging, cryptographic hashing (MD5 + SHA-256) at every stage, immutable append-only audit trails exportable in court-accepted formats, and role-based access control. • Ensure write-protection enforcement during acquisition workflows to prevent evidence contamination. • Design court-admissible reports with examiner credentials/digital signature, tool name/version/build, stage-wise hash values, methodology documentation, and timestamps/system logs. • Track Indian digital evidence law (BSA 2023, BNSS 2023, DPDPA 2023) and international standards (ISO/IEC 27037/27041/27042, ACPO Guidelines, NIST SP 800-86); support certifications such as NIST CFTT, STQC, and agency-mandated accreditation. Go-to-Market & Client Enablement • Own product positioning and messaging for government buyers and procurement committees. • Produce user manuals, administrator guides, forensic methodology handbooks, and quick-start guides. • Design and deliver training and certification programs for forensic examiners and investigators. • Support pilot deployments and POCs; gather structured post-deployment feedback and translate it into roadmap input. • Represent Innefu Labs at forensic conferences and government expos as a subject matter expert. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Electronics & Communication, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline (mandatory). • Master's degree or MBA in Technology Management, Cybersecurity, or Product Management strongly preferred.
