Senior Java DevOps & Process Engineer

Role : DevOps Engineer Industry Type : IT Services & Consulting Department : Engineering - Software & QA Employment Type : Full Time, Permanent Role Category : DevOps About the Role This role will have you working within a team of trusted individuals to help achieve innovation in the public and private cloud using automation. You will be part of the Automation and Orchestration squad, focusing on building secure and stable platforms with self-service capabilities for the business units of Swiss Re. As a Java DevOps and Process Engineer, you will work towards AI Ops and self-healing platforms, optimizing performance, availability, and auto-scaling to provide the best cost efficiency for the platform over time. You will help clients build automated solutions for complex business and IT processes, working on agile story tasks to deliver successful sprints. Personality Requirements and Skills • Minimum qualifications: • 7+ years of experience working with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. • Strong knowledge of Java best practices and design patterns. • 4+ years using public clouds (Azure or AWS) and/or private clouds. • Strong knowledge in RESTful APIs and writing automated test cases. • Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, with a commitment to quality, attention to detail, and solution orientation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in English. • Preferred qualifications : • Experience with microservice orchestration and workflow tools like Zeebe. • Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus. • Understanding of modern authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth2). • Familiarity with tools such as Git, OpenAPI, Docker, Elastic. • Experience in engineering infrastructure platforms and infrastructure as code, preferred skills: PowerShell, Puppet, Golang, Terraform, APIs.
