Job Description
KEY PURPOSE:
Managing and taking responsibility for Human Resources function in IOBG and its Joint Ventures / Subsidiaries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To develop HR plan based on IOBGs Business Plan and strategy.
- To recommend and ensure implementation of strategic directions for people development within the organization including training based on Companys strategy.
- To ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of resources as per the business plan, which should be linked to a strategic labour sourcing strategy and a skill enhancement plan.
- Ensure availability of required level and quality of Management/ Supervisory / workmen staff with appropriate global approvals, in order to meet the business needs, focusing on employee retention and key employee identification initiatives.
- Ensure an engaging climate in the organization, including adequate opportunities for career growth and development, and build and execute succession for critical roles in the organization.
- Develop Reward and Recognition policies and mechanisms to instill performance driven culture and lead an effective appraisal process, increments and promotions of all staff and workmen.
- Provide counsel and assistance to employees at all levels in accordance with the companys policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation.
- Coordinate the design, implementation and administration of HR policies.
- Ensure execution of appropriate worker welfare activities (infrastructure, facilities, labor camps, etc).
- To maintain and develop HR policies and to contribute the development of Corporate HR policies.
- Ensure compliance to local labour laws and other guidelines that may be issued from the Department of Labour.
- To develop the HR team with required competencies, to ensure the provision of a professional HR service to the organization.
- Responsible for complete administration activities for IOBG.
- Liaise with other functional entities as needed.
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Graduate /PG in HR with experience in leading regional HR in the Gulf countries in Project environment.
- Stakeholder management.
- Ability to influence and drive change.
- Ability to drive new initiatives.
- Note that this role will require travel.
- Exposure to the Project Industry and Middle East business environment is an added advantage.
REPORTING: Operationally to Head IOBG and functionally to Head of People and Culture.
REPORTEES: Yes.
