Strategic Business Manager – Brokerage & Digital Trading

Overview We are looking for an experienced Strategic Business Manager to drive business growth and strategic initiatives within our brokerage and digital trading business. This role will focus on identifying revenue opportunities, optimising client idle cash, analysing market trends, and supporting the development and launch of our mobile trading platform. Reporting to senior leadership, you will work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Technology to execute strategic projects while leveraging your understanding of brokerage operations, banking infrastructure, and capital markets. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth across brokerage and digital trading. • Identify opportunities to optimise client idle cash and enhance commercial performance. • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to support strategic decision-making. • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams on the development and enhancement of trading platforms. • Build a strong understanding of banking mechanisms, cash management, settlement, and brokerage operations. • Partner with institutional client teams and agency sales desks to support business expansion and strategic initiatives. • Manage cross-functional projects and work closely with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Compliance. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. • At least 8 years of experience in brokerage, securities, wealth management, investment banking, or fintech. • Proven experience in business strategy, commercial strategy, or business management within financial services. • Strong knowledge of trading platforms, brokerage operations, banking infrastructure, and capital markets. • Experience working with institutional clients and/or agency sales environments is highly preferred. • Strong analytical, commercial, stakeholder management, and project management skills. Preferred Background • Candidates from online brokerages, securities firms, investment banks, digital wealth platforms, or financial institutions with exposure to brokerage strategy, trading platforms, and business transformation will be highly regarded.
