Business Analyst - Finance Data & General Ledger

Our client is seeking a Business Data Analyst with knowledge in General Ledger reporting and financial accounting expertise in a banking environment. This person must have a strong understanding of journal processing, subledgers, balance sheet composition, reconciliation concepts, audits, assests, etc.

Snowflake or Databricks knowledge is advantageous. Client Details The company is a mid-sized firm with a robust location in midtown Manhattan. Description Gather, analyze, and document business, data, and reporting requirements. Translate requirements into data mappings, functional specifications, and design artifacts.

Analyze end-to-end financial data flows from source systems through subledgers and General Ledger platforms. Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and logical data models. Partner with Finance, Product Control, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.

Support data warehouse, reporting, governance, and modernization initiatives. Perform data analysis, reconciliation, impact assessments, and root-cause investigations.
