Senior Business Services Accountant | Advisory & Career Progression

A highly regarded Brisbane-based accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Senior Business Services Accountant to join its collaborative Business Services & Advisory team. Known for delivering tailored accounting, taxation and advisory solutions, the firm works closely with a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, SMEs and growing organisations. This opportunity is ideal for a public practice Accountant looking to move beyond traditional compliance work, gain deeper advisory exposure and continue developing toward future leadership opportunities. Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will manage meaningful client relationships, work across varied industries and continue building your technical, commercial and advisory capabilities. The Opportunity You will be responsible for: • Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT and compliance requirements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals • Assisting with tax planning and providing practical business advisory support to clients • Working across a diverse portfolio of industries and client groups • Building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted advisor • Managing technical accounting and taxation queries • Working alongside Managers and Partners on complex client matters • Supporting junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Business Services team About You To be successful, you will have: • 3+ years’ experience within Australian public practice accounting • Strong Business Services and taxation experience • CA/CPA qualified or currently progressing towards completion • Solid understanding of accounting standards, tax legislation and reporting requirements • Strong communication skills with a focus on client relationships • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines • Experience with Xero, MYOB or other cloud-based accounting systems About The Firm The firm is committed to creating an environment where accountants can continue developing their skills, expand their advisory capability and build long-term careers.
