Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Revenue Coordinator to join a large and complex NSW Government organisation on an initial 3-month contract , with the possibility of extension.
This is a hands-on, all-round finance role that combines patient revenue, banking, receipting, financial accounting, reconciliations and team leadership . You'll play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of revenue while acting as the central point of contact for receipting and banking activities across the organisation.
The Opportunity
Working within the Financial Accounting function, you'll coordinate a broad range of revenue operations while supervising a small team and partnering with internal finance teams, Sharedservices and other key stakeholders.
This position is ideal for someone with strong NSW Government revenue experience who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working across multiple finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily receipting, banking and revenue activities
• Analyse daily bank transactions and maintain banking schedules
• Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage receivables, suspense accounts, deposits and prepayments
• Oversee patient fee revenue and sundry debtor processes
• Coordinate fundraising approvals and receipting activities
• Act as the primary contact for banking and receipting enquiries
• Liaise with Shared services, finance teams and operational stakeholders
• Supervise, roster and support two Cashiers across multiple sites
• Assist with process improvements and implementation of new policies and systems
• Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports for management
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in patient billing, receipting and banking within NSW Government
• Strong understanding of revenue management and financial accounting processes
• Experience preparing journals, reconciliations and month-end reporting
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial data
• Experience using PBRC and the Oracle Finance Suite
• Proven ability to improve processes and implement procedures
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Previous experience leading or supervising staff
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
