Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned strategic leader to serve as the Business Head for our Africa operations. In this high-impact general management role, you will act as the primary architect of our regional growth strategy, overseeing full P&L accountability and driving market penetration across diverse African territories. You will work closely with the global executive leadership team, local regulatory bodies, and high-value institutional clients to scale our footprint. By orchestrating cross-functional teams and navigating complex geopolitical landscapes, you will directly influence our international revenue trajectory and establish our brand as a market leader in the region.
Key Responsibilities :
- Formulate and execute comprehensive Go-To-Market strategies to capture emerging opportunities and secure a competitive advantage in the African market.
- Manage the end-to-end P&L for the region, ensuring rigorous financial discipline, cost optimization, and sustainable profitability across all business lines.
- Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with government stakeholders, local partners, and key enterprise clients to facilitate seamless business operations and long-term growth.
- Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing local and expatriate teams, fostering a culture of excellence and operational agility.
- Identify and mitigate regional business risks by staying ahead of regulatory shifts and economic trends, ensuring the company remains compliant and resilient.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale P&L responsibilities with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in international markets, specifically within the African continent.
- Exceptional strategic foresight with the ability to translate complex market data into actionable business plans that align with global organizational goals.
- Advanced interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of influencing C-suite stakeholders and navigating diverse cultural and business environments with ease.
- Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams through periods of rapid expansion and organizational change.
- A postgraduate degree from a premier business school (IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI/XLRI) is highly preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in general management and corporate strategy.
- High degree of adaptability and resilience, with a willingness to operate in dynamic, fast-paced international environments that require significant on-site presence and travel.
