Job Description

Position Description: This position is responsible for creating technical documentation for pumps involving IOM (Installation, Operation, Maintenance), Service / Operational manuals, Assembly, and disassembly procedures. Accountabilities: • Works on service manuals/operational manual for all Flowserve-SIHI pumps and systems. • Performs documentation work that is varied and complex, under minimum supervision. • Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work, and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation. • Create technical documents by following established business unit standards and procedures by producing consistent and reliable results. • Performs document self and peer checking process and achieves high quality in submissions. • Deliver clear and complete technical documents as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality. Timely update status to all the stakeholders. • Understand the basic functions of documentation control, document preservation and computer filing. • Maintain and develop technical and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively. Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 4 years and above or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years and above of technical writing experience in Pump or related mechanical industry. • Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/technical documents/reports. • Ability to understand the mechanical product/system assembling and dismantling procedures and maintained procedures by considering ease maintained and user safety. • Hands on experience in pump assembly, repair and servicing is an added advantage. Competencies: • Team player, Creative thinker, who is highly self-motivated. • Strong Technical writing skills. • High-quality deliverables. • Highly committed and quick learner. • Timely responsiveness to internal and external customers. • Evaluate work, sets priorities, and quickly focuses on most critical needs. • Communicate professionally and with accepted business etiquette, work well with people in other departments and with customers. • Experienced user of computer programs like Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Expected application skills: • Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (Adobe Creative Cloud) • Content management system (CMS) • Authoring tool (e.g.: MS Word/Adobe Frame maker depend on BU requirement) • Basic German language is an added advantage #LI-AS1
