Job Description
Sourcing and Vendor Management
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability
• Prepare and issue RFQs, ITQs, and the tender document to ensure transparency, competitiveness, and value for money
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms
• Monitor vendors’ performance and resolve any issues, discrepancies and disputes
• Identify alternative sourcing options to reduce dependency and supply risk
Process and Policy Governance
• Review purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval workflows
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulations
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Provide guidance to center leadership and staff on approved vendors, contract terms and purchasing policies.
• Work closely with internal departments to understand their specifi c needs and provide advisory services on best practices and sourcing strategies.
Financial and Risk Management
• Perform detailed spend analysis, budgeting, and cost-benefi t analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process effi ciency.
• Proactively assess and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as potential supplier failure, delays in critical deliveries (e.g., food), or risks associated with product safety/recalls.
Reporting
• Conduct an annual performance evaluation survey
Qualifications and Job Requirements
• Minimum Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain Management.
• Strong understanding of the procurement process, guidelines, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Google Office Suite and familiar with procurement software systems.
• Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.
