Principal Aladdin Data Business Analyst

Principal Data Business Analyst – Aladdin Migration Location: London / Hybrid (x3 days per week in London) Contract: 6 Months initially IR35: Inside IR35 Programme: Aladdin Migration The Role Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Data Business Analyst to join a large-scale Aladdin migration programme. You will play a key role in defining data requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications and supporting the successful migration and decommissioning of investment management and fund-related data. Key Responsibilities • Act as the key Data BA across the Aladdin offboarding programme, determining data requirements and translating them into clear technical specifications and artefacts. • Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively. • Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. • Define and maintain strong data management and governance practices throughout the programme. • Support data analysis, mapping, validation and reconciliation activities associated with Aladdin migration/offboarding. • Ensure high-quality delivery across testing, implementation and migration activities. • Provide strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities across complex data and migration workstreams. • Support Investment Management and Fund onboarding/offboarding activities where required. Key Skills & Experience • Strong experience as a Senior / Principal Data Business Analyst within Financial Services. • Proven experience working on data migration, transformation or system offboarding programmes. • Strong understanding of data management, data governance and data requirements. • Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and data artefacts. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams. • Experience working across testing, implementation and migration activities. • Previous experience within Investment Management, Asset Management or Funds is highly desirable. • Aladdin / BlackRock Aladdin experience would be highly advantageous.
