Senior RTL Design Engineer Location : Bengaluru (Onsite) Employment Type : Full-Time Compensation : Competitive Salary + ESOPs About the Company : We are a fast-growing deep-tech startup building next-generation ultra-low-power wireless technology for wearable and implantable devices. Our team is developing cutting-edge semiconductor solutions that push the boundaries of low-power communication, enabling breakthrough innovations in healthcare and connected devices. Role Overview : We are looking for a highly motivated Senior RTL Design Engineer to join our semiconductor design team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance digital logic for communication ICs, contributing from microarchitecture definition through RTL implementation, verification support, and timing closure. The ideal candidate has strong RTL design fundamentals, experience working on ASIC development in a semiconductor product company, and excellent debugging skills. Key Responsibilities : - Design high-quality RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog. - Develop microarchitecture for complex digital blocks. - Design datapath and control logic for communication ICs. - Collaborate with architecture, verification, physical design, and DFT teams throughout the ASIC development lifecycle. - Perform RTL simulation, debugging, lint, CDC, and gate-level simulation. - Support synthesis, STA, timing closure, and design optimization. - Analyze functional and timing issues and drive root-cause resolution. - Participate in design reviews and ensure high-quality, reusable RTL. - Contribute to silicon bring-up and post-silicon debugging when required. Required Skills : - Strong RTL Design experience using Verilog/SystemVerilog. - Digital design fundamentals. - Microarchitecture development. - Datapath and control logic design. - RTL simulation and debugging. - Lint analysis. - Clock Domain Crossing (CDC). - Gate-Level Simulation (GLS). - Static Timing Analysis (STA). - Timing Closure. - Strong analytical and debugging skills. - Good understanding of ASIC design flow. Preferred Qualifications : - 2-3+ years of RTL Design experience (strong candidates with excellent RTL fundamentals will also be considered). - Experience working in an ASIC or semiconductor product company. - Experience in communication IC design is highly preferred. - Exposure to complete ASIC development lifecycle. - Experience with low-power digital design is a plus. - Experience working in semiconductor product companies such as Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, Renesas, Qualcomm, Broadcom, or similar organizations is highly preferred. - Experience working in a semiconductor company or possession of a US university degree will be considered an advantage.
