We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join a well-established professional accounting and business advisory firm based in Melbourne. This confidential opportunity will provide practical exposure to accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, payroll, and business advisory services while working alongside experienced accounting professionals.
This Self-Funded Professional Internship is designed for international students and recent graduates who want to gain structured Australian work experience, develop industry-relevant skills, and significantly improve their employability in the local job market.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting tasks
• Support the preparation of financial statements and working papers
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with BAS, GST, and taxation administration
• Support payroll processing and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and client documentation
• Assist senior accountants with client projects and business advisory work
• Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy
• Provide general administrative support when required About You
• Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks is advantageous
• Eager to learn and develop professionally
