Senior Credit Analyst - Underwriting - NBFC

Role Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Credit Analyst to join our credit risk team in Mumbai. The role involves comprehensive analysis, underwriting, and approval of credit proposals for Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). The candidate will play a key role in evaluating financial health, assessing risk, and ensuring high-quality credit decisions aligned with the banks risk appetite. Overall Job Description: - Conduct in-depth financial analysis of NBFCs, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and key ratios. - Evaluate credit proposals and prepare detailed credit appraisal notes. - Perform industry and peer analysis to assess sectoral risks and opportunities. - Underwrite loan proposals in line with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. - Assess business models, management quality, governance practices, and risk frameworks of NBFCs. - Identify key risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies. - Present credit proposals to internal credit committees for approval. - Monitor existing exposures and track performance of NBFC clients. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks. - Coordinate with relationship managers, legal, compliance, and risk teams.
