Job Description
In short: A corporate finance role with a major energy business — group management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis feeding senior leadership decisions. Financial analysis or FP&A experience in a large, complex organisation with SAP knowledge required.
D'Arcy Weil is recruiting a Financial Analyst on behalf of a major Australian energy business. Based in Adelaide or Perth within the corporate finance function, the role contributes to group management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and business performance analysis that informs strategic decision-making at senior leadership level.
The role exists to give senior leaders a clear, timely and accurate picture of business performance — working alongside finance and business stakeholders across the organisation to drive well-informed decisions and lift reporting capability over time.
The Role
• Produce monthly executive reporting and asset performance analysis including variance commentary, supporting quarterly review submissions and monthly and quarterly close
• Contribute to statutory financial statements and board-level reporting, ensuring outputs meet corporate governance and financial control requirements
• Support the annual budget process and rolling forecast cycles through financial modelling, trend analysis and structured reporting
• Collaborate with business unit finance teams to surface insight that supports operational and strategic decision-making across the group
• Identify and advance opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen data integrity and contribute to automation within the finance function About You
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• Solid experience in financial analysis, FP&A or management accounting within a large, complex organisation
• Practical working knowledge of SAP financial modules
• Strong modelling and analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
• An effective communicator able to build productive relationships across a broad range of stakeholders What's on Offer
• Base of $110,000–$135,000 plus superannuation, dependent on experience
