Job Description
Designation: Accounting Manager
Objective of Role: To manage, direct and develop the accounting department.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Analyze financial reports and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Implement and maintain processes to manage cash flow effectively and optimize working capital.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable and receivable.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Track and report on budget variances and suggest corrective actions as needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
- Streamline financial procedures and systems to reduce errors and increase productivity.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements.
Financial Analysis:
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost analysis.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding financial matters.
- Address and resolve financial queries and issues raised by other departments or external parties.
- Provide support and financial advice to various departments as needed.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports to detect and address any irregularities or issues.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, accounts payable, and accounts receivable staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide training and development opportunities, and address any personnel issues.
- Delegate tasks and ensure the timely completion of accounting processes and reports.
Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting standards

- Software skills: quick books, A2000, excel
