About Chem-Impex Chem-Impex International is a family-owned distributor and manufacturer of high-purity research chemicals, serving the global life science research community since 1981.

Headquartered in Wood Dale, IL, we support a catalog of 32,000+ products, with particular depth in peptide chemistry, amino acids, and diagnostics. It's a small, close-knit team where you'll learn fast, work closely with experienced colleagues, and see the direct impact of your work.

Why this Role Exists This role exists to support that growth by building meaningful, day-to-day relationships with the researchers, scientists, and labs we serve. What You'll Own Own an assigned customer portfolio, driving strategies to retain and grow existing relationships.

Lead customer calls, meetings, and check-ins to understand their technical needs and identify new opportunities. Prepare and deliver product presentations, price quotes, and sales collateral. Maintain deep knowledge of the Chem-Impex catalog to confidently match customers with the right product solutions.

Partner with marketing, customer service, and operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity in HubSpot, using data to inform account strategy. Gather and relay industry feedback to support our product strategy.

Represent Chem-Impex at roadshows and industry events. What You'll Bring A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field. 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a customer-facing role, ideally within life sciences, chemicals, or a related industry.

A strong scientific foundation with the ability to learn and communicate technical product applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A self-directed mindset, comfortable owning priorities, solving problems, and driving results with minimal oversight.

Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits or industry events. Why Join
