Job Description

Are you a natural salesperson who loves closing the deal: the signed contract, the fully booked wedding calendar, the sold-out function room? We're looking for someone with a proven track record of generating opportunities, converting enquiries and growing revenue in hospitality, tourism, weddings or events. Mount Macedon Winery is one of regional Victoria's leading hospitality destinations, known for award-winning dining, premium weddings, private events, boutique accommodation and estate-grown wines. As we enter our next stage of growth, we need a hungry, hands-on sales leader to own our revenue results. THE ROLE This role exists to drive revenue growth through proactive sales leadership and strong conversion across weddings, functions, corporate events and other key revenue streams. You'll own the sales process from first enquiry through to confirmed booking, and you'll also act as custodian of our brand, overseeing marketing activity to support your sales effort. WHAT YOU'LL OWN • Weddings & events: own every enquiry, run venue inspections with the support of the team, and convert at a high rate through disciplined CRM, proposal and follow-up management. • Corporate & functions: grow corporate, function and restaurant revenue through proactive lead generation, proposals and pricing initiatives. • Restaurant, cellar door & accommodation: drive revenue through targeted promotions and packages tied to key event dates, public holidays and peak trading periods. • Yield management: actively sell and promote our boutique premium accommodation and both restaurants, optimising pricing and availability to maximise revenue. • Revenue reporting: keep the Directors informed with timely, accurate sales and conversion reporting. • Marketing: own and plan our marketing calendar, direct our website and social media contractors, and oversee our Google Business Profiles, email marketing and third party listings to protect our brand across every channel. • Partnerships & technology: build referral relationships, and use AI tools to spend less time on admin and more time selling. WHAT YOU'LL BRING • A proven track record in sales and business development within hospitality, tourism, weddings or events, with 5+ years in a senior sales and marketing role. • A history of hitting ambitious revenue targets, and genuine hunger to keep raising the bar. • Strong relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills. • Comfort managing CRM, maintaining online business listings, reporting and digital tools. • Confidence in directing and reviewing the work of external web and social media contractors, along with hands-on experience running email marketing, PR and online ad campaigns. WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN • A beautiful regional home base in Woodend, with the flexibility to work from home on select days. • A Tuesday to Saturday work pattern (preferred), keeping you on-site to host inspections and events on our busiest days. • Generous employee, friends and family discounts on our food and wine. • A genuine team culture that thrives on innovation and high performance. • The opportunity to earn a KPI-based performance bonus on top of your base salary. Above all, we're looking for someone commercially driven, proactive and relationship-focused, someone who is energised by a hard sales target and takes genuine pride in turning opportunity into revenue.
