Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned HR leader to spearhead the human resources function for a premier healthcare facility in Mumbai. In this strategic role, you will serve as a key business partner to the hospital leadership team, overseeing the entire employee lifecycle for a diverse workforce of medical professionals, nursing staff, and administrative personnel. You will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring seamless operational efficiency, and maintaining rigorous compliance with healthcare-specific labour laws. By aligning human capital strategies with the hospitals clinical and financial objectives, you will directly influence patient care standards and organizational growth in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier medical and clinical talent, ensuring the hospital remains fully staffed with high-quality professionals.
- Oversee end-to-end performance management systems that incentivize clinical excellence and operational accountability across all departments.
- Manage complex employee relations and grievance redressal processes to maintain a harmonious work environment, critical for high-pressure healthcare settings.
- Direct compensation and benefits structures that remain competitive within the healthcare market while ensuring internal equity and fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure 100% adherence to statutory labour laws and healthcare regulatory compliance, mitigating organizational risk through proactive audits and policy updates.
- Leverage HR analytics to provide actionable insights on attrition, productivity, and workforce planning to the board and senior management.
- Lead organizational development initiatives that promote continuous learning and professional growth for clinical and non-clinical staff alike.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale HR operations within the healthcare or hospital sector, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges of medical workforce management.
- Exceptional ability to navigate complex labour law landscapes and regulatory frameworks specific to the healthcare industry in India.
- Proven track record in building and scaling HR functions, with strong proficiency in HR analytics to drive data-backed decision-making.
- Superior interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior medical consultants and hospital administrators to achieve strategic alignment.
- Strong educational background, preferably an MBA in Human Resources from a premier business school, complemented by 15 - 16 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- High degree of adaptability and resilience, with the ability to thrive in an on-site, high-intensity hospital environment where quick, ethical decision-making is paramount.
