Design Engineer - Series Platform Engineer (Automotive Connectors)

Job Description: Lead / Guide Design and Development of Automotive Connectors Independent working/creation of parametric models and manufacturing drawings  Guide on requirement analysis, focus matrix Concept review according to requirements Independent creation of development drawings, manufacturing drawings and offer drawings as per inputs Review /Creation of development drawings, manufacturing drawings and offer drawings Review /Preparation of technical customer documentation Implement changes from ECR in series parts Review /Perform tolerance stack-up and functional proof of connector assembly Review /Perform design calculations for various design features of connector parts Benchmarking of connectors Specification comparison Review connector validation / Design verification and its requirements   Mandatory skills Knowledge on thermoplastics, elastomers, metals & plating materials Knowledge on manufacturing process like molding, stamping, plating & Assembly processes Knowledge on plastic and sheet metal design concepts Knowledge on GD&T and Tolerance stack-up, tool-UG NX & team Centre Exposure to connector test specification / OEM specifications Experience on CAD tool-UG NX & team Centre is mandatory skills Perform Airgap and Creepage calculation on CAD Creo tool will be added advantages Experience on theoretical calculations Ability to interact with Cross functional teams Problem solving & analytical capabilities Creation of Material Master and BOM in SAP   Preferred skills: Work experience in connector industry / aut
