Product Manager - Retail Store Technology

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in retail store technology and hands-on experience working with modern retail sales and store management platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of omnichannel retail operations, point-of-sale systems, self-checkout, inventory management, loyalty programs, and store fulfillment workflows. This role will partner closely with Business, Store Operations, Engineering, Architecture, UX, and QA teams to define, prioritize, and deliver enhancements across the store technology ecosystem while ensuring seamless customer and Team Member experiences. Location : Hyderabad / Ahmedabad Key Responsibilities : Product Strategy & Roadmap : - Define and execute the product roadmap for store systems and retail technology initiatives. - Translate business objectives into scalable product solutions. - Prioritize features based on customer value, operational impact, and business outcomes. Store Technology Product Ownership : - Serve as the Product Manager for store systems and retail technology capabilities. - Manage enhancements across : 1. POS (Point of Sale) 2. Self Checkout (SCO) 3. Returns and Exchanges 4. Loyalty and Rewards 5. Promotions and Coupons 6. Payments and Tendering 7. Inventory Lookup 8. Order Management 9. Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) 10. Ship From Store (SFS) 11. Endless Aisle 12. Store-to-Store Transfers Requirements & Delivery : - Gather requirements from business stakeholders and store operations teams. - Create and maintain : 1. Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) 2. User Stories 3. Acceptance Criteria 4. Process Flows - Lead grooming sessions and support engineering throughout the delivery lifecycle. Cross-Functional Collaboration : - Work closely with : 1. Store Operations 2. Merchandising 3. Loyalty 4. Payments 5. Engineering 6. UX/UI 7. QA 8. Architecture - Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders and business units. Operational Excellence : - Analyze store processes and identify opportunities to improve : 1. Checkout efficiency 2. Inventory accuracy 3. Labor productivity 4. Customer experience 5. Shrink reduction - Define KPIs and measure business outcomes post-launch. Required Qualifications : - 5+ years of Product Management experience. - 3+ years working with retail store systems. - Hands-on experience with retail store platform implementations, enhancements, or support. - Strong understanding of : 1. POS systems 2. Self Checkout 3. Omnichannel retail 4. Loyalty and rewards programs 5. Inventory management 6. Payments and tendering 7. Order fulfillment processes - Experience writing detailed product requirements and user stories. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with large retail organizations. - Experience with store technology modernization initiatives. - Familiarity with : 1. OMS (Order Management Systems) 2. CRM/Loyalty platforms 3. Payment processors 4. Retail inventory systems 5. Store handheld/mobile applications - Agile/Scrum product management experience. - CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent certification.
