Network Engineer

Role : Network Engineer (Manager Level) Location : Sonepat (NCR) Employer : Reputed University Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Network Engineer to manage and support the University's enterprise network and infrastructure environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring reliable, secure and high-performing network services across academic, administrative, residential and data center environments. The incumbent will play a key role in network operations, infrastructure expansion, server connectivity, new campus/building deployments and maintaining high availability of critical IT services. Network Infrastructure : - Design, implement and optimize scalable campus network architecture. - Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and Internet infrastructure. - Configure and troubleshoot Layer-2 & Layer-3 switching, routing, VLANs and redundancy. - Ensure high availability, performance and uptime. Wireless & Network Security : - Manage Juniper Mist wireless infrastructure. - Administer enterprise firewalls, VPNs and network security policies. - Monitor and strengthen network security. Server & Data Center : - Manage data center network infrastructure including core/distribution switches, server connectivity, rack networking and structured cabling. - Coordinate with server, virtualization, storage and cloud teams. - Support disaster recovery and business continuity. Infrastructure Projects : - Lead network deployment for new buildings and greenfield campus projects. - Plan, install and commission network infrastructure. Operations & Vendor Management : - Manage RUBA/CPMM or equivalent campus network management platform. - Monitor network health and preventive maintenance. - Maintain documentation, SOPs and asset inventory. - Manage OEMs, ISPs, system integrators and AMC partners to ensure SLA adherence and timely project delivery. Desired Candidate Profile : - Experience : 10 - 15 years in enterprise network administration. - Education : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related discipline.
