Job Description

The Validation and Verification engineer will design, create, code, script, automate and execute test cases for Automotive ECU's, with focus on communication networks such as CAN and Ethernet. Projects include Vehicle Communication Gateways, Perfectly Keyless, Zone ECUs, Powernet Guardian, among others. Collaborating with locations outside Mexico. Key Responsibilities: Design, code, and execute test cases for next generation vehicle communication gateway modules. Define new test strategies to support connected vehicle platforms Analyze and review System and SW requirements Ensure cyber security of module by working on fuzz testing, penetration testing, IDS, etc. Test OTA (Flash Over the Air) requirements for various OEM vehicle architectures Test case analysis, design and implementation Evaluate the test results and publish release reports Interact with local and global development teams Document test case design in DOORS Collaborate with design team on special test cases for failure analysis and electronic component evaluation Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience  Proficient in electronics and embedded systems Proficient in electronics laboratory equipment usage: multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc. Proficient in SW and System testing: ISTQB Foundation level Proficient in test and defect management tools (change management), such as JIRA, ALM or equivalents. Software development life cycle (SDLC), and V-Model methodology. Knowledge of automotive standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262 C and C++ programming languages. Scripting languages (i.e. Perl, Python).
