Job Description
About the company
Tyler Wren is partnering with one of New Zealand's most prominent and dynamic financial advisory groups to find their next exceptional team member. This organisation is highly regarded for moving away from traditional, product-led sales to focus on holistic, life-stage financial planning. By providing their advisory team with robust processes and sophisticated tools, they ensure you have the operational support required to deliver meaningful advice while enjoying the backing of a major national brand.
About the role
Based in Wellington, this position offers the perfect balance of active portfolio management and strategic business development. You will step into an established client base, taking immediate ownership of their ongoing financial plans. Duties
• Manage, service, and retain an established portfolio of Wellington-based clients.
• Capitalise on business-led opportunities and effectively convert leads to drive portfolio growth.
• Provide comprehensive, holistic financial advice tailored to clients' long-term life goals.

• Proven experience as an Investment or Financial Planner within a structured planning environment.
• Solid working knowledge of Discretionary Investment Management Services (DIMS).
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, coupled with a proven track record of converting leads and driving new business.
• A dedicated, client-first mindset with the ability to communicate complex concepts simply and effectively.
• Excellent self-management and organisational skills to balance ongoing client care with proactive business development. Culture
This organisation champions a 'People First' culture built on integrity, teamwork, courage, and continuous improvement. They seek professionals who are confident, commercially driven, and approachable. It is a highly supportive and engaging environment where your ability to build genuine rapport and trust with clients is valued just as highly as your technical market knowledge.
Benefits
• A competitive base salary tailored to your commercial experience.
• Immediate transition into an existing, active client portfolio.
• Comprehensive Life, Health, and Income Protection Insurance.
• Rewarding long-term career progression within a well-capitalised, growing national business.
