About the Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs team The Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs team is a group of dedicated professionals committed to helping Affirm scale, innovate, and provide outstanding products for consumers, merchants, and key partners.

We combine legal, compliance, and policy expertise to guide growth, shape products, and build trust across our ecosystem. Our work spans multiple professional disciplines and provides the foundation for Affirm ’s mission to deliver honest financial products.

Affirm ’s International Compliance team designs and implements compliance programs that proactively address regulatory requirements while identifying and mitigating compliance risks.

As a second line of defence function, Compliance partners closely with the business to support new products, markets, and strategic initiatives while strengthening controls and delivering strong consumer outcomes.

As a Compliance Lead, Canada , you will play a pivotal role as an individual contributor responsible for the Canada compliance framework.

You will apply deep regulatory expertise and independent judgment to ensure alignment with Canadian regulatory requirements while integrating local obligations into the global compliance program.

What You’ll Do Regulatory Oversight & Advisory Serve as subject matter expert on consumer protection, payment regulations and related financial regulatory requirements Support execution of risk controls related to safeguarding, operational risk and program governance under the Retail Payments Activities Act (RPAA) Provide regulatory advice to Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams on new initiatives and business changes Interpret regulatory developments and translate them into actionable business guidance Support regulatory examinations, inquiries, and supervisory en
