[Job ID:1626604] Job Summary: Strategic role managing vessel operations, financial performance, and maritime investments while driving business growth. Responsibilities: Monitor vessel schedules, voyages, and operational activities, including loading, discharging, bunkering, and dry-docking Liaise with charterers, ship managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations Review and manage voyage instructions in accordance with charter party terms Administer time charter hire, including handling claims, disputes, and settlements Develop and manage vessel budgets (annual to daily) and track financial performance Identify and implement operational efficiencies and cost improvement initiatives Oversee vessel P&L, cash flow, and budget control Coordinate with insurers (H&M and P&I) on incidents, claims, renewals, and premium arrangements Support legal matters and claims processes when required Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and internal policies Prepare regular operational and financial reports for headquarters and joint venture partners Conduct vessel visits and commercial inspections Identify and develop new business opportunities in shipping and related investments Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and key stakeholders Analyze shipping markets and provide recommendations on investment or divestment strategies Evaluate and manage projects including newbuildings, second-hand vessels, and structured deals Review and negotiate maritime contracts such as time charter parties, shipbuilding contracts, MOA, bareboat charters, and ship management agreements Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and support cross-functional collaboration Participate in PR and corporate initiatives as required Requirements: Experience in the shipping industry (minimum 3 years) or investment/finance or commodity trading (minimum 5 years) Proficiency in Japanese to communicate with Japanese speaking counterparts Prior experience in a ship-
