About the Role We are partnering with an industry-leading organisation to recruit an experienced ERP Project Manager / Functional Consultant to direct a high-priority digital transformation. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end migration from a legacy environment to Dynamics 365 Business Central . This is a key strategic initiative requiring a seasoned PM who can drive the full project lifecycle, ensure minimal operational disruption, and unite cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT. This role isn't a pure PM role. It requires someone with in-depth knowledge of Business Central and its configuration, as well as tracking sales orders, understanding warehousing and supply chain, and adding some technical solutions instead of relying solely on the vendor/partener. Key Responsibilities • Lifecycle Delivery & Governance: Lead the transition from initial discovery and planning through to cutover, go-live, and hypercare. Maintain project schedules, risk registers, budgets, and steering committee reporting. • AX to BC Migration Leadership: Oversee functional gap analyses, customisation evaluations, integrations, and complex data migration strategies (cleansing, mapping, and validation). • Vendor & Partner Oversight: Manage external Microsoft implementation partners and third-party ISVs, ensuring deliverables meet strict SLAs and project scope. • Change Management: Facilitate business process workshops, lead user acceptance testing (UAT), and partner with business units to drive user adoption and operational readiness. What We're Looking For • ERP Expertise: 7+ years of IT Project Management experience, including at least 3 full lifecycle ERP implementations/upgrades. • Core Tech Stack: Proven, hands-on experience with D365 Business Central (Essential) . • Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of core ERP modules across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Warehouse Management. • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Track record of driving accountability with Microsoft Partners, third-party software vendors, and C-suite stakeholders. • Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid frameworks. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications are highly valued. Nice-to-Haves • Hands-on experience with BC Cloud (SaaS), Azure environments, or Power Platform (Power BI/Power Automate).
