Project Manager - Pipeline & Industrial Construction Permanent | Perth Based with Site Travel | Major Infrastructure Projects Join Alltype Engineering Alltype Engineering is a leading multidisciplinary engineering and construction company delivering projects across the Mining, Water, Energy and Infrastructure sectors throughout Australia. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major pipeline and industrial construction projects across Western Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take full ownership of project delivery from award through to close-out. You'll be equally comfortable walking site with your Site Supervisors, reviewing engineering solutions with Project Engineers, and managing commercial outcomes with clients. About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary project team, including Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and Quality personnel, while working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Commercial and HSEQ teams across the business. Key Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end delivery of pipeline and industrial construction projects valued between $5M and $20M • Provide leadership and direction to Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and QC personnel • Manage project safety, quality, schedule, budget and client satisfaction • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery • Manage project commercial performance, including forecasting, cost control and reporting • Prepare, assess and negotiate variations, delay claims and Extensions of Time (EOTs) • Review contracts and ensure project controls align with contractual obligations • Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and project documentation • Review technical queries (TQs), RFIs, NCRs, engineering drawings and specifications • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies • Drive continuous improvement and foster a high-performance project culture About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Minimum 8 years' experience delivering piping, pipeline or industrial construction projects • At least 3 years' experience as a Project Manager with full commercial and delivery accountability • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams, including Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and Quality personnel • Strong background delivering projects valued between $5M and $20M • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules and client relationships • Extensive experience preparing, substantiating and negotiating EOTs and variations • Strong understanding of bespoke construction contracts and contract administration • Working knowledge of Security of Payment legislation, time bars and delay analysis • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards and technical specifications • Strong commercial acumen and financial reporting capability • Current Australian Driver's Licence Highly Regarded • Experience delivering MSCL (Mild Steel Cement Lined) pipeline projects • Water industry experience, including Water Corporation or major utility projects • Experience with pump stations, trunk mains and water infrastructure • Knowledge of project controls development and implementation • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent What We Offer • Permanent leadership opportunity with a growing engineering contractor • Competitive salary package • Opportunity to lead major infrastructure projects across Western Australia • Diverse and technically challenging work • Supportive leadership team with genuine career progression opportunities • Strong pipeline of future projects across the Mining, Water and Infrastructure sectors If you're an experienced Project Manager looking to lead complex engineering projects and make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
